This Week at Sport & Fitness |
Getting closer!
This week, we've been busy moving equipment into the new facility, and everything is progressing smoothly, knocking on a very large piece of wood! I must admit, I'll miss the tent. There were a few sleepless nights during the summer when the wind howled so fiercely, I could only lie there, covers pulled tight, hoping the tent wouldn't end up halfway to Indio. But aside from that and, of course, tropical storm Hillary, t was a beautiful, albeit temporary, experience. Many have told me they'll miss the tent, but I'm sure that sentiment will fade quickly. As of now, the tent is scheduled to be dismantled on January 8th. Around the Gym
There has been some confusion as to the opening of the facility. We should have nailed that down next week, but we are projecting classes to begin the 6th of January. Please remember to stay off of the site until we are official.
As with any new facility, there will be some guidelines in place, many of which are based on our previous operations. We will have gym rules clearly posted within the facility, and these will also be emailed to everyone. Please ensure that your guests sign in at the fitness department front desk each time they use the facility, rather than going directly into the gym. This is important, as we will ask them to return to the main desk if they bypass this step.
Operation Guidelines
Hours of operation: 6AM – 6PM Daily Christmas Eve: 6AM – 12PM Christmas: Closed
Guest Policy All Sport & Fitness Policies apply equally to members and their guests. Guests are required to present a guest card and check in at the front desk before using any of the facilities. There may, on occasion, be designated hours for guests to use the fitness floor and group exercise rooms.
Cell Phone Policy Cell Phones are not allowed on the training floor unless used specifically for training and not interacting with others. Cell Phones are not allowed to be used in the group exercise room, flex fitness, Cardio room, or Recovery room.
Sport & Fitness Dress Code At Sport & Fitness, we strive to maintain a welcoming and professional environment for all members and guests. To ensure a positive experience for everyone, we kindly request that you adhere to the following dress code guidelines:
Appropriate Workout Attire: Acceptable clothing includes athletic wear such as shorts, leggings, workout pants, and t-shirts. Tank tops for men, and sports bras or tops that show the midriff and not allowed.
Footwear: Proper athletic shoes with non-marking soles are required for all fitness activities. Golf spikes, sandals, or open-toed shoes are not allowed in the fitness center.
Hygiene and Cleanliness: Towels and gym wipes are provided to wipe down equipment after use and to maintain personal hygiene throughout your workout. Food or sodas are not allowed on the gym floor.
Swimwear: When using the pool or pool area, proper swimwear is required. Respectful and discreet swimwear is standard. Cover-Ups and shoes are required outside the pool area.
Tennis Attire: If participating in court sports, proper footwear is required including non-marking shoes for pickle and POP tennis. Sport tops and shorts only on the courts.
Scheduling Scheduling treatment appointments and signing up for events may be done at the front desk, by email/text, or online. You may always simply call the main desk at (760) 346-8084. The front desk is the home base for all appointments and activity related events. At any time during your stay, you can go to the front desk and schedule service appointments, sign up for events, check out equipment, or reserve courts or spaces. This applies to court sport activities as well. All phone requests are handled by the fitness front desk.
Service Reservation Policy Whether the service is SPA or Fitness related, all appointments begin on the hour, or half hour. For this reason, the service duration always ends in time for the provider to be prepared for the next member. Services, therefore, run 85, 55, or 25 minutes. For the same reason, group exercise classes are scheduled at similar increments. Members leaving an appointment or class please be respectful to the oncoming members and quickly move on to your next activity. Spa Etiquette Arrival Guidelines Please arrive 10 minutes early in order to change minutes prior to the start of your scheduled appointment Late arrivals will be subject to reduced treatment times as our services start on the hour and half hour.
Minimum Age The Spa and Fitness Center are adult facilities and appropriate for guests 18 years of age and older.
What to Wear Robes and slippers are provided for your convenience. Professional draping is performed throughout your treatment.
Medical Concerns and Comfort Level Guests who are pregnant, have had recent surgery, or have any other medical concerns are advised to consult their physician before booking spa services.
Cell Phones, Personal Electronic Devices, and Cameras We strive to provide our guests with a tranquil and private escape from the outside world. Please help us by turning off cell phones, personal electronic devices, and cameras upon entering The Spa.
Cancellations As a courtesy to all, we ask that a six-hour notice be given if you need to cancel or change your appointment.
See you tomorrow.

Cottage Rental Procedures |
There are 54 Cottages at Eldorado, and all are owned by Eldorado members. Eldorado Country Club does not own nor rent any cottages. Cottage Services acts as the liaison between the Cottage owners and members and guests wishing to rent cottages.
Over the years, the number of Cottages available for rent has greatly diminished. Currently, there are only six cottages that are available to rent at various times throughout the season.
